About Us
Christopher Mathieu is a drafter/designer and Principal Consultant of Mathieu and Matthew Consulting. His bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and over eight years of experience in the architectural and construction industry allowed him to solve a vast number of complex problems such as identifying unsafe areas throughout a structure, anticipating issues like leaks, cracks, and developing new design additions without changing existing structure.
His architectural experiences range from Project Associate to Project Management, which helped with understanding how to manage clients, board members, and contractors while maintaining a firm understanding of the project budgeting. Project types include single-family residential, multi-unit housing, public educational facilities, Universities such as City University of New York (CUNY), commercial spaces such as John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) loading bay, and office facilities.
Computer-aided design software expertise includes Adobe Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino3D, SolidWorks, and Geographic Information System (GIS). His portfolio consists of the restoration of facades, roof, and interior repairs on new and existing high-rise buildings in New York City.
The opportunity to shadow structural/mechanical engineers, architects, and administrative teams has shown him the necessary processes pre/post design phase, furthering his understanding of the field. Implementing their knowledge in his designs allows him to enhance projects with minimal assistance, thus facilitating revision with minimal editing.
